Airbnb is being used for hookups - Business Insider

The kids loved play on the sandy beach and taking the boats out in the lake. Our son became and expert Frog catcher. It was close with in 50 minutes to marquette which had all the modern conveniences and sights.

Iron Mine in Iron mountain to the south was worth the drive too. Very quiet and peaceful. Our best vacation yet. Myself ,my wife and 2 children had a great time exploring the land and fishing in the lake. The property is amazing. Michelle was great and was available if we needed anything, We would love to come back and stay again.

The place was much nicer than we expected and was a great place to hang out with the family and have some good quality time distraction free. Thank you Michelle for having us. A great place to get away from everything.

Waking up to that view is enough in itself. Thanks, Michelle, for sharing your beautiful cabin. Your large, cozy, cabin gave us the opportunity to be together as a family incl several generations in a beautiful cabin and setting, and at an affordable price.

We loved taking the canoe and kayaks out on the lake. The entire cabin was fully stocked. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful to view either sitting on the deck or in the cabin looking out the wall of windows. Michelle as a host was easy to contact and help with any questions we had. Thanks, Michelle, for being a great hostess. We have many scenic pictures for our photo book and wonderful memories to take with us.

My family and I had a great time. Beautiful cabin and lake. Just the peace and quiet we were looking for.

Listing description was very good. No words could really describe the beauty of the area, however. The kitchen was well equipped. All of the conveniences of home away from home. Saw a bald eagle flying over the lake, it was just amazing. Road getting in would have been tough to navigate with a lower riding car, we brought a truck.

Glad Michelle said something about that! We encountered no problems, was family of 8 staying. We all talked about coming back one day. I thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Antrim cottage. I found the rental process to be flawless and the home just as described. The cottage is one block away from a public access point to Lake Michigan and near to a fantastic Library and downtown. Justin was quick to respond regarding arrival and any questions that we had. The cottage was charming, clean and very close to lake access and town.

This was an incredible deal for two couples on an overnight color tour in northern Michigan. The cottage was very clean and pleasant, offering all the necessary amenities. I would go back for an extended stay if the opportunity arises. Justin was very easy to work with and responsive to all of our inquiries and requests. The only caution I would offer Aside from that I would highly recommend this property. Everything about this cottage was spot on. What a great place; just what we were looking for.

The description online was accurate. Justin was a perfect host. The Charlevoix area and Lake Michigan are a treasure. The neighborhood was charming and so close to the lake; just a short walk. I just wish we could have stayed another night.

The cottage was spotless and very cozy. Excellent location within walking distance to the main street with many cute shops and restaurants. The host was very friendly and organized. It was close to downtown Charlevoix and was a very convenient central location for our day trips to Traverse City, the tunnel of trees, and Petosky. Justin was very responsive and the check-in process was straight forward. The cottage was very clean and the amenities were exactly as described in his post.

We had a great time. We plan on returning. Linda was super attentive to any questions, the cabin is clean and neatly decorated, and the wood-burning fireplace was stocked and ready to light the night we arrived. I recommend checking out the Journeyman Distillery tour which is only a 10 min drive from the cabin. Beach access is easy via the Pier St. Overall we had a great stay. There was charcoal and firewood even though Linda said we might want to bring it.

Place is nice and secluded. Private beach is just a short drive. Cabin was nicely stocked. Was just hoping weather would have been cooler but that has nothing to do with Floyd, Linda or the Cabin. Overall it was a great vacation. It felt secluded and close to nature, but was within a short distance from civilization. We enjoyed cozy evening fires in the indoor fire stove and the outdoor fire ring. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedroom was comfortable. Loved the wood stove and the open living area.

Floyd was around for anything we needed. Nice and close to the lake and heat for Michigan winters! Linda was a gracious host and the cabin was exactly what we expected - it was a lovely visit. The cabin was cozy and surrounded by beautiful trees.

Linda was communicative and thoughtful. She was also flexible as we had to adjust our arrival and departure times - we arrived pretty late, and she made it easy for us to settle in. Susan was accommodating, communicative, extremely generous, patient, and basically an all-around great hose. The house is well represented in the photos and description. The lake is truly amazing--for an all-sports lake so close to three major cities, on a beautiful weekend in August, i really expected it to be full of crazy motorboaters but it was extremely peaceful.

Finally, the bonus salsa is really great, and being from Texas we like to think we know a thing or two about salsa!

The outdoor space and the size of the lot are awesome for lots of outdoor fun with row boats and kayaks to use. The fire pit at the lake is a great hang out place. Our host, Susan made us feel more than welcomed! She greeted us at her beautiful home with a tour and answered any questions while we were there. She had a beyond nice gesture of giving us chips and salsa to munch on as we unpacked. She is so organized and has just about everything you need for your fun stay.

We felt at home , a very relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed reading some of your many interesting books too! My three boys and their families with my husband and I under one large roof was the ultimate memorable vacation for us. The large spacious yard for many activities, the bonfires at night, the just the right size lake with two row boats, a paddle boat, and the two man kayak were a highlight for us. We did tie together the last night and floated telling stories of the past while the sun was setting.

We got a lot of great memorable pictures! Thank you Susan for sharing your beautiful home with us. Susan was a great host. The lake house came pretty much complete with everything our family needed. Absolutely perfect host and house. Great location super peaceful and relaxing. Completely unplug for your life and connect with family!

Highly recommend and would stay again. The host was very welcoming and met us upon arival. She and I were able to go over all issues so we both understood what was expected. The place and the setting were as I anticipated.

The accomodations were as described. The place worked out wonderfully for our needs. I would highly recommend it!!

Great house, amazing fishing for the kids, and a great place to get away from the rat race for a spell! Plenty of room for the 9 of us. Still close to shopping, restaurants, and anything else one could want or need. We loved our stay! It is perfect for our family of six adults and four children under age 5. There is plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms with an open kitchen for big dinners.

Everything you need is already there We spent every day on the water, fishing and boating. We also were able to escape for a "moms-only" trip to adorable downtown Howell for a quick lunch, cocktail, and shopping. The studio was very clean and nice.

The sun room with all the windows made this little place awesome. Great get away to GR. Really enjoyed my time staying here. Great little place, very cleaned with everything you need provided. Handful of great restaurants just around the corner. Great historic neighborhood walkable to downtown Grand Rapids, great restaurants and breweries.

I highly recommend staying here. The house was in a cute neighborhood, and the seperate enterance with a keypad was ideal. It was nice that Cody had extra chargers, extra towels, candy, coffee, and waters for us. The apartment was extremely clean, and the sun porch is beautiful! Cody is a great communicator and made sure I was all set for a 4-day stay at his charming studio. I had a few questions about the area and logistics prior to visiting and he was quick to reply.

Access to studio was straightforward and it was easy to find. Quaint and beautiful studio. The bed was really comfortable to us! Short drive to every where we wanted to go. Cody was very responsive. Beautiful home, comfortable and equipped with everything needed. Secluded but walkable to food and nightlife.

A rustic cabin nestled in the woods, a cabin much as the settlers would have had in the 19th century. The hostesses were very pleasant, and served very delicious breakfasts. Mully and Deb have thought of many details, like including cozy slippers and plenty of book reading lights. It gets quite dark, but the candles provided gave off surpisingly good light bringing a camping headlight might be helpful too.

I needed a place to rest and use as a private retreat. Deb and Mully provide that with their lovely cabin and smiling faces. You can tell they are absolutely joyful in their work to give the best possible experience. I opted to have dinner as well as breakfast, for donation. It was above and beyond delicious and nourishing. So was the breakfast! The cabin is Bigger than I thought, very comfortable chairs and bed. It is surrounded by trees and has access to the Waterloo-Pinckney trail.

The humanure toilet is not a deterrent, in fact it is very simple and clean. They provide a wash stand with basin and pitcher, fresh towels and washclothes. Being Eco-conscious I loved this set up! I was able to have complete privacy and peace, the hosts are very considerate and announce with a friendly "Hello!

You set the time for breakfast and they are happy to accommodate any diet. I love this place and will be returning! Mully and Deb were wonderful hostesses.

They were flexible with our arrival and quick in replying to our questions and concerns. If you want to disconnect from your busy life and reconnect with nature, we highly recommend booking with them.

The cabin has an off the grid feel, with no running water, flushable toilet, nor electricity or central air. However, the cabin is equipped with a porcelain pitcher and bowl to bathe; a homemade toilet, with a toilet lid, bucket and sawdust to cover your poo; battery operated lights; and a woodfire stove that you had to manage yourself to keep the cabin warm.

We enjoyed our time together and getting to know these beautiful souls. Not to mention, Chelsea is a hidden gem of a town. It was a great spot to stay for my wife and I who went on a wine tour in the area. My wife and I really enjoyed our time here and would love to visit again.

Be sure to bring your bugspray! The cabin was just what we were looking for. We loved having a little spot in the woods to read, walk, talk and relax. We loved reading in the two comfy chairs at night with nightlights and during the day. The trail is a must do and just right outside the door. Such a treat as we frequently prepare our own meals while on vacation. Plenty of wood was provided for the wood stove which made a warm environment.

The space is cozy and surrounded by beauty. Will definitely go back. Donna was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. With any quick question via text or phone, she responded immediately and with warmth and affection. The home itself is clean, relaxed, and unique. Looking forward to another weekend at this place in the near future!!! Donna is lovely host.

Very responsive, very respectful of our privacy and place was prepared perfectly for our stay. Her kitchen was a great place to cook and enjoy a meal alongside a warm fireplace.

Her home is wonderful idyllic setting. Extremely quiet and peaceful in the hot tub. This was one of the nicest weekends of my entire life. From the gardens to the pond to the river to the house to the hot tub to the awesome kitchen this was the exact retreat I needed.

With a close accessibility to the beach as well as cute downtown shopping this place was made for me. Donna was an awesome host she really loves her land and wants to share this experience with all. It will be in annual retreat for me from here on out. This is the perfect place for relaxation and retreat. Definitely bring slippers because the floor is cold. Donna stays in a trailer on the land but we never met. The fireplace and hot tub were the best.

Bright stars at night, the sounds of birds all the time, and the occasional spider inside the house The house is great, and Donna was a wonderful hostess. We were here in winter, and the fireplace and open plan living, dining, kitchen area was great for us and our teenage boys. It provided just the right atmosphere for us all to reconnect, play games and just chill.

Loved having two bathrooms too! Donna simply told us to make ourselves at home, and it was easy to do. The home is beautiful with everything you could want or need. We wanted to spend a cozy night away in front of a fireplace, so when we saw that Blueberry Fields has an awesome wood-burning fireplace as well as a killer outdoor hot tub that is usable in winter, we were raring to go.

The house is very funky and worldly and just cool. Overall, this is a serene, warm, beautiful place for a very relaxing stay. We hope to come back in summer with friends! The house was decorated with all sorts of unique touches and the fully stocked kitchen made cooking breakfast a breeze. We truly enjoyed the secluded location and ability to sleep out on the huge, screened in porch.

The yard is beautiful and lends itself to plenty of outdoor enjoyment. This lovely house was perfect for our 6-person 3 couples vacation to Traverse City!

All three bedrooms were cozy and there was plenty of room between the living room, dining area, and back porch to relax together without being cramped. Nice location close to town but still a bit removed and quieter than downtown.

Easy short drives to everywhere we wanted to go. Marta was very communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. Marta was prompt to respond and had great pointers. The location was close to downtown and Sleepy Bear Dunes! The house was perfect for my Mom, sisters and I to enjoy a wine tasting weekend! The house was super close to downtown. The house itself was decorated adorably and had a coziness to it that made us feel at home immediately.

The bed I slept in was incredibly comfortable! Marta was wonderful to work with. Because three of the four people in our party have severe allergies, we were unable to stay at her place. I was not made aware of her dog when I booked with her She very graciously refunded half of our money which was one night.

This place is advertised as being downtown Traverse City which to me seemed inaccurate. It seemed more like mid-town. Marta was very good at communicating before and during our stay. Her place was nicely decorated and kitchen was well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay at the Sofo Place. There was enough space for a group a four and the house is conveniently located - not walkable distance to downtown, though.

We did not get to meet Marta, but she was very responsive and kind, also the instructions were clear enough. The house has a combination key lock which is super convenient to avoid carrying an extra set of keys.

The place was great and in tip top shape. It was very clean and comfortable. Greg and his wife were more than accommodating and went above and beyond what was expected.

It was a very short walk from downtown which had more than enough to keep us entertained. Greg was extremely easy to communicate with - and responded right away to any questions we had. The place was cozy, well appointed and well stocked with the essentials for our visit, and the location was perfect. It was a short walking distance from all of the downtown fun and an easy walk to campus. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it anyone.

From the very beginning, Greg was there to offer a wonderful experience. We arrived and had parked out front, and he took the initiative to come outside and help us find our way down the wonderful path to the place he has so thoughtfully created and maintained. The decor was wonderful. And the place was spotless. He then gave us an outstanding restaurant recommendation, and we headed off to Mali for dinner!

Greg and Emily were very welcoming and gracious hosts. A bottle of wine, snacks, and water were waiting for us when we arrived. The studio makes incredible use of its space.

The bed was super comfy for a fold out couch. The location prime for experiencing downtown on foot. If you can get this place when you go to Ann Arbor, do! Wonderful loft room in a great neighborhood and spotlessly clean. Greg was super easy to work with on timing, entry, etc. I even met his adorable puppy Louis in the yard.

Easy walking to downtown and so many great restaurants. Greg and Emily are wonderful hosts, and we have stayed at their beautiful place for several years now, when we are in town to see our son, who is a Michigan student. The space is so clean, the bed is truly comfy, there are lovely nuts and bars, juices, water, tea, coffee Greg and Emily are top notch re communication and they get back to you quickly if you have questions.

Greg and Emily were absolutely terrific hosts! The loft is also a cool, unique space that was perfect for my short stay in Ann Arbor. Peaceful and charming, the loft is a short walk to downtown and the UofM campus.

Would be my first choice to stay upon returning to Ann Arbor. This rental is a little slice of heaven. We were greeted warmly by Greg upon our arrival. The space was clean, private, tasteful and cozy. The bed was enveloping.

Above and beyond, we were treated with thoughtful amenities, and the space was well designed. The street is lined with large, well cared for trees. We give these hosts our highest recommendation, and hope to return one day. Jan and Dale were incredible hosts and made our engagement weekend so special! Both went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful weekend, from helping plan a surprise party to providing things to do in town to tending the fire pit each evening.

The cottage was spacious and charming, as advertised. The Carriage house is beautiful! We had a group of 7 women who were visiting the area for wine tasting.

Jan and Dale were great hosts and welcomed us as soon as we arrived giving us a full tour. The house, boat house and entire property is well-kept, beautifully decorated and absolutely something worthy of a magazine. We loved our stay and would recommend this property! My family had a wonderful stay! I only wish the weather had been warmer so we could have made greater use of the lovely outdoor space.

I highly recommend this Airbnb, and would happily have another family get-together there in the future. I would say to anyone looking at their place to book with them. They are such great hosts! I was minutes away from their house after driving an hour and I got a flat tire.

These guys dropped what they were doing to come rescue me and change my flat tire! What amazing people you will find when you meet them: I had a family of 10 stay comfortably - all had a great time.

Beach front is clean an easily accessible - plus a lot of privacy due to the adjacent properties not being developed. Everything in the house seemed brand new! Many items were also already provided dishes, cups, silverware, towels, etc.

There is a huge backyard in which the guests can play volleyball or badminton. Pool was super clean and deep enough on one side to dive in! Jan and Dale were excellent hosts. They were very approachable and were always there to help! Our group had a great time and would definitely come back again! I wish I could give more starts to Jan and Dale!

They were the most incredible and welcoming hosts and they made us feel like an extension of their family!! The cottage is absolutely charming, clean, cozy and spacious. My friends and I had the most incredible stay enjoying the pool, beach, and cottage. This place has everything and anything you could possibly ask for!

We loved it so much that we already booked a longer stay for next year. Thank you Jan and Dale!! Jan and Dale Boone are lovely hosts. We really enjoyed meeting them and staying in their lovely carriage house. It was the perfect location for a family Thanksgiving. The carriage house is spacious and yet cozy and comfortable. There was plenty of space to visit with family and yet not feel crowded. Our stay in Paw Paw was absolutely perfect! Looking forward to doing it again!

The home was beautifully decorated, clean, and kitchen well stocked for 4 adults. It is centrally located and off the beaten track, which is perfect for what we were looking for. Sitting space in the living room is a little tight for 4 adults, but 3 people easily fit on the couch and 1 in the chair.

The beds are super comfy as are pillows. All in all a fantastic stay! Cozy cottage with great location to the Spring Lake beach, park, restaurant and close driving to tons of fun activities. Interior has been updated with every detail considered. This was a terrific AirBnB for a long-weekend getaway. I particularly appreciated the quality and well-stocked cookware.

My son recently moved to downtown Grand Haven, which is a busy tourist town on the water. I wanted a place that was not downtown but rather a few miles away in a quiet neighborhood and this was exactly what I was looking for. As others have said, it looks exactly like the photos. I am hoping to return next year: Solid, somewhat secluded retreat destination.

Great, quiet place to stay away from the tourist areas. The house is beautifully furnished, and we loved the cozy living room. It was a perfect getaway. He came right out to greet us.

Nice and roomy cottage with skylights that made it seem enjoyably bright. The view and access to the beach was great. And the dunes right there. We very much appreciated that John was quite aware of how our kids were enjoying themselves and them to experience the dunes and other attractions in the area. Just a great host and great accommodations! We will like to return to the cottage in the future for the location and because John made it so enjoyable.

We rented the one-bedroom apartment above his garage. It worked well for our family of four. The place was very clean, tastefully decorated, and well-kept. We appreciated the central AC as the mid-day can get extremely muggy. All bedding, linens, and towels were of excellent quality and condition. The view from the sitting area is incredible as Lake Michigan is clearly visible.

The first town site, originally called Aaron or Asay, was established in near the mouth of Asay Creek. After more severe flooding and the breaking of the reservoir, the town was again moved to its present site and named Hatch after one of its founding members.

Hatch was incorporated in , and currently has a population of people. Mammoth and Asay Creeks, the headwaters of the Sevier River, are stocked with rainbow, German brown and cutthroat trout.

The Sevier River is also well-stocked, and the area around Hatch offers some of the best fishing on the river. The hatchery is responsible for stocking catchable rainbow trout in area waters. The facility is currently closed to tours but kiosks in the parking lot explain how the fish hatchery operates. West of Hatch, Mammoth Cave is one of the largest lava tubes in Utah with more than 2, feet of passage and four chambers. The quarter-mile cave was formed by cooling lava and flowing water about 2, years ago—relatively young in geologic terms.

Part of the Markagunt Plateau in Dixie National Forest, Mammoth Caves is located at an elevation of 8, feet, so it stays cool year round and offers unobstructed stargazing. Bryce Canyon National Park is an easy day trip from Hatch, whether you choose to do a few short hikes or simply drive the scenic route through Bryce Canyon.

The visitor center just south of Hatch on US is a logical first stop for information about area attractions. Hatch also has restaurants, lodging, a convenience store and post office. The Daughters of Utah Pioneer Museum is open by appointment. The Forest Service Visitor Center is open seasonally. From rustic mountain cabins and Harley Davidson-themed rooms to more traditional quarters, there is plenty of affordable lodging in Hatch.

Most restaurants in Hatch are open seasonally so plan accordingly. Mammoth and Asay Creeks are the headwaters of the Sevier River. The creeks are stocked with rainbow, German brown and cutthroat trout and offer excellent fishing, but check locally because some of the streams run through private land.

The Sevier River is also stocked and the area around Hatch has the best fishing on the river. The Sevier River runs north and suddenly disappears for miles then reappears to fill reservoirs like Piute Reservoir.
